Appropriate Lubrication for Enlargement Exercise
In order to jelq effectively and easily, lubrication is required. Water-based and oil based lubricants are both acceptable. We, at HopefulPenis.com, personally recommend water-based lubricants because they are much easier to clean up. We feel that oily lube on your penis and groin area can be both uncomfortable and unhealthy for your skin; which can also lead to pimples in that region or other irritation depending on how sensitive your skin is. Plus, water-based lubricants are less messier and easier.
The following chart includes common lubricants for jelqing exercises.
| Water-Based Lubricants | Oil-Based Lubricants |
| KY Jelly | Petroleum Jelly (could be used but not recommended) |
| KY Liquid (not a big fan of the grainy feel) | Vitamin E |
| Astroglide. | Baby Oil (recommended) |
We highly recommend Astroglide (the original version, not the thick kind) as the best lubricant for jelq exercises. If you don’t care about using oil-based lubes, a good substitute for Astroglide would be Baby oil.
